G.P.S.
|
|
What is G.P.S.? G.P.S. stands for Give, Pray & Study
Groups. Much like a G.P.S. unit that helps guide you to where you need to go,
our G.P.S. groups give us guidance and help us become mature Christ-followers.
Through praying with a group together, studying God's Word, and giving to the
church and community through outreach and community care projects we emulate the
early church of Acts 2.

Which group is right for me?
|
|
We offer many different groups that meet at different days,
times, and locations. G.P.S. groups will vary by having some be
blended groups and some similar interests groups (i.e. same sex, same age, same
hobby, etc...) Our groups vary anywhere from a 4 week commitment to a 1 year
study group.

How do I join a group?
|
|
All of our groups are closed groups with the exception of
those that have built-in breaks in their schedule. For those groups that
do have a
break a person can join the group after the break is over and they meet
again. All of the shorter groups
will have new studies every 4-8 weeks. New groups that are starting will
be announced and anyone interested can sign up at the back table in the church
sanctuary. For more information on groups offered, when they meet, and
location contact Pastor Matt Webster 989- 288-6684.

How do I become a G.P.S. Leader?
|
|
G.P.S. leaders are trained by Pastor Matt Webster in a one
day class offered at various times in the year. Those enrolled in the
class are given a folder with helpful notes, ideas, and suggestions on how to
provide the proper shepherding within the group. G.P.S. leaders are expected to
apprentice members within the group to be future G.P.S. leaders.
