Rev. Jon Clifton was born in a county seat town in Ohio, graduated by Harvard College a long time ago, studied with some of the leading congregationalists from three countries. He was baptised and confirmed a Methodist Christian, ordained by the Presbyterians, has studied with Baptist and Episcopalian teachers. He's a pretty fair historian and maintains an interest in education, having served on the White House Commission on Education Professions Development. He works, calling it enjoyment; reads, calling it refilling the bucket; sits and naps, calling it recreation; laughs and whistles, for no reason at all.

 

He and Mary Lou have chosen to move to Durand because they love the people hereabouts and plan to continue to call this their home even after he steps down from the pulpit.
